Notes

Educated Brisbane Central Technical College and University of Queensland (BSc
1921). Cadet Queensland Goverment Chemical Laboratory 1912, explosives
production, England 1917-18, several years in charge of chemical work
associated with oil exploration in Queensland, Deputy Government Analyst
1946-61, Deputy Director, Government Chemical Laboratory to 1961. Distilled
the first samples of oil in Australia at Roma in 1927 and was also associated
with initial work on prickly pear eradication and on blowfly strike in sheep.
