Notes

Born in England, Daniel went to Jamaica where he owned plantations and slaves.
His wife came under the influence of John Wesley who was on a mission to the
West Indies. After Daniel's early death, his wife freed the slaves and
returned to England to live in Warrington near Liverpool where she married
a Methodist preacher (Richardson).
